Roseville police say they got a report about a large tortoise on the loose down Hayden Parkway, near Fire Station 9. Officer Deimling responded to the scene and encountered Shredder the tortoise on a stroll.

Roseville Police Department getting video wall to help improve efficiency, safety

ROSEVILLE, Calif. — The Roseville City Council approved the purchase and installation of a video wall system for the Roseville Police Department, Wednesday. The video wall is part of a Real Time Crime Center that will help make responses to incidents "faster, more efficient and safer" for officers and residents, according to council documents. The video wall processor will allow video streams to be displayed and shared across the network in real-time.

California police department implements ‘Operation Grinch’ to crack down on retail theft

A California Police department initiative dubbed, ‘Operation Grinch,’ targeting retail theft resulted in one suspect ditching their accomplice before fleeing police, tossing stolen items out of the vehicle and crashing. The Roseville Police Department said in a social media post that officers working as part of Operation Grinch had two incidents on Saturday where suspects attempted to walk out of retail stores with merchandise without paying.
